This site will provide you with necessary information about the admission methods and process of the International University, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, and the School of Electrical Engineering in particular. The website will  introduce the information about Undergraduate programs, majors, career opportunities, etc. Moreover, this website will also provide prospective students information regarding the tuition fees, the scholarships, extra-curriculum and volunteer activities of the Youth Union and Student Association. 

The International University – established in 2003 and the first state university in Vietnam using English as a medium of instruction. We commit ourselves to three main missions: internationally standardized teaching, researching, and contributing to the sustainable development of the community, society, and country.

In terms of teaching:
The International University guarantees to furnish students with a comprehensive education program combining professional knowledge and skills with enthusiasm for scientific research, confidence, and willingness to cope with global challenges.

In terms of research and development:
The university reserves a large portion of its annual budget for scientific research and construction of modern laboratories. It has also introduced strict policies and specific regulations on research activities in order to promote the reputation of The International University in both basic and applied research.

In terms of applying scientific research to life: 
Applying scientific research to life together with studying essential social issues is one of the most important objectives of the school. With this mission, IU is focusing on building a research and transfer-of-technology center along with a handful of specialized research centers for climate change, sustainable development, etc.

The School of Electrical Engineering was established in 2004, being one of the first four majors. Oriented to the main goals, vision, and mission of the International University, the main goal of the School of Electrical Engineering is to prepare graduated students:

  • Help students to take the best advantage of their educational opportunities and prepare them with the necessary knowledge to be able to adapt to the rapid change in technology
  • Conduct high-quality research that benefits students, scholars and communities
  • Transfer technology to solve community problems and create strong collaboration with Industry.

The School of Electrical Engineering provides two Undergraduate programs: Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Control Engineering and Automation, with a large variety of formats: Undergraduate programs with IU degrees, twinning programs with prestigious universities in England, the United States, and Australia in the near future. Those programs provide a wide range of options and opportunities for the students, being able to expose to highly accredited education programs around the world.
